In August 1942, the Romanian authorities deported the vast majority of nomadic Roma. Of the 9471 scheduled for deportation, on August 16, 9,223 Roma were already deported. In the autumn, the final number of deported nomads (including Roma abusively identified as nomads) reached 11,441, of which: 2352 men, 2375 women, 6714 children.
Roma people who had performed or were still in military service were not excluded.
The main localities in Transnistria where the nomads were deported: Akmecetka, Crivoi Oziero, Domaniovca, Krasnenkoje, Moldavka, Oniscovo, Tridubi, Vradiovca.
